Ngu Hanh Son Da Nang – Famous “Nam Thien Danh Thang”

Ngu Hanh Son tourist area is located in a favorable geographical location, about 8km from the center of Da Nang city. This is a favorite destination in the journey to explore the heritage lands of the Central region such as: Hue Imperial City – Ngu Hanh Son – Hoi An Ancient Town – My Son Temple and Tower Relics.

The complex of Ngu Hanh Son scenic relics includes 6 limestone mountains: Tho Son, Hoa Son (including Duong Hoa Son and Am Hoa Son), Thuy Son, Moc Son, and Kim Son. This place also has beautiful landscapes and many mysterious caves such as Huyen Khong cave, Huyen Vi cave, Van Thong cave, … attracting a large number of tourists to visit and travel.

2.1. Thuy Son – The most beautiful mountain in Ngu Hanh Son

If you come to Da Nang without visiting Thuy Son, the largest and most beautiful mountain in the Ngu Hanh Son complex, it will be a big mistake. This is a destination with a strong spiritual, cultural and historical imprint.

Reaching the top of Thuy Son, visitors will be amazed by the beautiful natural scenery of the entire Ngu Hanh Son area, along with the image of the city in the distance and the poetic beaches surrounding it.

2.2. Kim Son – The location of Quan The Am Pagoda

Kim Son has a cave about 50m long, hidden under the mountain. Inside the cave are beautiful stalactites with diverse and clear shapes. In particular, the stalactites cling to the cliff to form the shape of a statue of Bodhisattva Quan The Am, the size of a real person, standing majestically on a coiled dragon.

This is a destination not to be missed by spiritual tourists. Kim Son is also famous for the traditional Quan The Am festival held annually, to maintain and spread Buddhist culture.

2.3. Moc Son with a white marble Quan Am stone block

Moc Son stands out with a white marble block shaped like a sitting person, making a strong impression on visitors. This rock is often called Ba Quan Am or Co Mu by the locals. This is the only mountain in the Ngu Hanh Son complex that does not have temples or spiritual elements, and very few trees.

2.4. Linh Ung Ngu Hanh Son Pagoda

Linh Ung Ngu Hanh Son Pagoda is an ancient pagoda nearly 200 years old, located on Thuy Son mountain, a sacred place amidst the majestic nature of Ngu Hanh Son Da Nang.

Entering the main hall of Linh Ung Pagoda, visitors will see a system of statues arranged including: three statues of the three Buddhas, Manjushri Bodhisattva, Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, Avalokiteshvara, Sakyamuni Tathagata, Ksitigarbha, Quan Am Chuan De, elaborately crafted, along with two statues of Dharma Protectors and Eighteen Arhats.

2.5. Fire Mountain

Fire Mountain consists of two twin mountains, Am Hoa Son and Duong Hoa Son. Am Hoa Son is located in the east, an attractive destination for tourists who love art and rocks. The slopes of Am Hoa Son are sloping, broken rocks with unique trees growing. Below is a cave connecting from the south slope to the north slope.

Duong Hoa Son is located in the west, with the ancient Linh Son pagoda, behind the pagoda is Huyen Vy cave. In addition, there is Pho Da Son cave, where Pho Da Son pagoda is located with stories about King Minh Mang’s sister.

2.6. Tho Son with a tunnel and four pagodas

Tho Son is impressive with its steep cliffs. There are very few trees here, located in the north of the Ngu Hanh Son complex. To the east of Tho Son is a cave about 20m deep, however, the entrance is very narrow. In addition, Tho Son also has Bo De cave, known by another name as “Da Chong Mountain Tunnel”, a historical relic that was once a hiding place and a place for revolutionary soldiers to operate.

2.7. Am Phu Cave – Dark and mysterious

Am Phu Cave is one of the most famous caves of Ngu Hanh Son, attracting many tourists on their exploration journey. In front of the cave is the Yin Yang Bridge, and the road inside the cave is divided into two directions: Thien Duong and Dia Nguc.

Am Phu Cave has 12 hell gates, each gate has a guard. Coming here, visitors will witness the scene recreating the legend of the underworld and the punishments for people after going to hell. After visiting Dia Nguc, don’t forget to step onto the path to Thien Duong to feel like you have just come back to life.

2.8. Huyen Khong Cave – The most beautiful cave in Ngu Hanh Son

Huyen Khong Cave is an open-air cave, considered the most beautiful cave in the Ngu Hanh Son complex. When the light shines into the cave, it creates a magical and shimmering scene, making visitors feel like they are lost in a fairyland. This is also an attractive destination for those who want to pray for fortune at Ba Chua Tien Temple and pray for peace and health at Chua Thuong Ngan Temple.

2.9. Tam Thai Pagoda – Ancient Buddhist architecture

Tam Thai Pagoda is an ancient pagoda, located on Thuy Son mountain, surrounded by beautiful natural scenery. The pagoda attracts a large number of tourists and Buddhist monks and nuns to visit every year.

The main hall of the pagoda worships Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara, Buddha Amitabha Tathagata, and Mahasthamaprapta. Walking in the pagoda, visitors will feel their souls become peaceful, as if they are lost in a sacred place of Buddha.

2.10. Vong Giang Dai

Vong Giang Dai is located on Thuy Son mountain, an ideal place to observe the whole Ngu Hanh Son complex, as well as to admire Cam Le and Co Co rivers. This river viewing platform is located opposite the Ancestral Temple of Tam Thai Pagoda, with a narrow path up with slightly winding natural stone steps.

2.11. Non Nuoc Stone Village Ngu Hanh Son

After visiting Ngu Hanh Son, visitors can visit Non Nuoc stone village, a famous traditional stone carving craft village in Da Nang. Coming here, visitors will admire the exquisite artistic sculptures, created by the talented hands of artisans.

2.12. Non Nuoc Beach – Tourist destination near Ngu Hanh Son

Non Nuoc Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches near Ngu Hanh Son, is an ideal destination for visitors to immerse themselves in the cool water, admire the blue clouds and dreamy waves after a journey of exploring and conquering the mountains.
